<p>When you&#8217;re first learning poses you mostly practice them from the outside in. You see demonstrated alignments, others&#8217; idealizations of the pose, or photos of what they think the pose should look like, and you observe various people performing their version of the pose. You use these externally given instructions to mold your postures. As you progress in Yoga you move toward doing your asanas more from the inside out. You begin to feel the articulation of muscles, tendons, nerves and joints, as well as their subtle interdependent relationships and the effects of the pose. This is practice from the inside out. Learning how to tune inwardly and guide your practice from inner sensitivity, feedback and intelligence is one of the themes of Deepening Your Practice at White Lotus.</p>
